John-Reed > At last, past mile 7, you see the real "Breakers," the Pacific Ocean pounding on the shore.

John-Reed > The greatest sight for the runner is the finish line, where you can also see my (slow) finishing time!

John-Reed > Now we can relax, and go stock up on some water to drink!

John-Reed > And there's a lot of water to be given away here!

John-Reed > Who is old number 26733? Why that's ME, relaxing with a free chocolate milk after the race is done.

John-Reed > "Footstock," a post-race festivity, where we all go to pick up our T-shirts. Some stay and party all day; I leave and walk down to catch the 19th Avenue bus to take me back to the train (BART) station in Daly City, where I left my car before 6 AM.
